Piazza della Signoria 30 Years Later

I took these photos in January, but I decided instead of flooding my blog with 30 Years Later posts right off the bat, I'd save them for a rainy day.
It's been raining in Florence for over a week, and I'm still really behind on this blog. So here's something new!

POTD

I can't believe I went Monday-Wednesday without taking a single picture. I was so wrapped up in finalizing everything before spring break, the days just slipped past me.
So I will give you a bonus picture.
Then off to bed so I can rest up a little before my plane ride to Greece! Words can't explain how excited I am right now. I'll make up for this photo-less week over spring break!

15 March 2012  Tourists
They told us time and time again that tourists would start taking over the town. They weren't kidding. I'm starting to feel territorial. I don't like shoving my way through crowds where I used to be able to stroll freely. People were lined up all day to get inside the Cathedral.

Photo of the Day

26 Jan. 2012  Piazza della Signoria
After finishing classes for the week at noon, Jess and I found Billa (a supermarket and pretty much my personal Mecca). I made lunch, did some yoga, showered and before I knew it, it was 3:30 p.m. I couldn't believe I was letting a beautiful afternoon slip by me, so I grabbed my European Issues reading and settled onto steps at the Piazza della Signoria. I wasn't the only one who had that idea.
